Freedom’s Watch, the conservative advocacy organization, is opening its television advertising campaign in Senate races today with a new spot targeting Democratic U.S. Rep. Mark Udall (D-Boulder).
“Energy reform. Mark Udall promised to fight to for it. So what did he do when the vote came up? He skipped it,” an announcer says in the 30-second spot. “Instead of supporting oil exploration, nuclear energy, new refineries, anything that might reduce gas prices, Udall skipped it, went to a fundraiser, and sent congress on vacation by one vote.”
Tim Pearson, a spokesman for the organization, said the ad was airing in the Denver, Colorado Springs, and Grand Junction media markets. Pearson declined to specify how much the organization was spending on the ad.
The organization has been almost exclusively focused on airing ads in competitive House races. Several weeks ago Freedom’s Watch announced its largest ad buy of the general election season totaling in the mid-six figures.
Udall is facing off against former U.S. Rep. Bob Schaffer in this November’s general election.

And what makes you
And what makes you different, buddy? Are you any more skilled than these candidates are? Jake, I agree. If Udall really is about this "biparitsan effort", then he needs to actually commit to it and not just speak of it. His rarely mentioned support for efca speaks enough.
Udall missing votes, missing on message!
Udall is an easy target this year. He is on the wrong side of the two biggest issues right now, labor and energy. Udall always talks about bipartisan efforts, and yet he supports Big Labor by pledging to vote for the Employee Free Choice Act. On energy, his support of the luke warm group of 10 Senators' proposal is against the American peoples' desire for increased energy independence. Udall needs to work his way off the left fringe if he wants to be a statewide elected official...

Politicians Udall and Schaffer will say anything to get into the Colorado senate office-and then do nothing. Udall voted against the war in Iraq, but now he is a cosponsor of a bill begging President Bush to blockade Iran! That is an act of WAR. Schaffer is no peoples man with his opposition to unions and support of slave labor outside of this country. For a true and honest choice for the US Senate see
