Polis gets spacey
By Alex Isenstadt, Politicker.com ReporterJared Polis, a Democrat running for U.S. Congress, is announcing that in May he will be taking a trip into space – making him the first Congressional candidate to spend time in space, his campaign says.
“Jared Polis will spend at least five days in space accompanied by a highly trained pilot and crew” said Ivan Fuldya, chief scientist and spokesperson for the Russian Space Agency. “In orbit, he will see how global warming is affecting our blue sphere of life”
Polis says he plans to blog while on the trip.
At the end of the release: "Jared Polis wishes you a very happy April Fool’s Day!"
