Another Norton Joins McCain Colorado Leadership

Former U.S. attorney Michael Norton was added as a state co-chair for John McCain’s presidential campaign today, a McCain press release stated.

Michael Norton joins his wife -- former Lt. Gov. Jane Norton – and former Deputy Attorney General Marti Whitmore (formerly Marti Albright until she recently remarried ) as co-chairs of the Arizona senator’s Colorado leadership team.

Norton is currently an attorney with the Denver law firm of Burns, Figa, and Wills.

He's also popular with the evangelical vote, having worked with the conservative Alliance Defense Fund in support of the 2006 state referendum banning gay marriage.

Whitmore said Norton “obviously brings a lot of experience” to the McCain team.

“We’re delighted,” Whitmore said. “Mike’s a great guy.”
