Former President Bill Clinton will host a rally for his wife Hillary's presidential campaign Wednesday night at the University of Denver, just hours after Hillary's opponent Barack Obama will visit the school.
The Bill Clinton "Solutions for America" rally will start at 9 p.m. at the Ritchie Center, Hillary Clinton's campaign said Tuesday.
Obama is scheduled to attend a rally at DU's Magness Arena at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday.
Hillary Clinton state campaign spokesperson Jessica Santillo said the Bill Clinton rally had been planned long in advance and was not in response to the Obama rally.
Former Majority Leader Tom Daschle (D-S.D.) was scheduled to appear in Denver to stump for Obama on Wednesday night, but that event has been canceled now that Obama himself will show up, Obama campaign staff said.
Daschle was scheduled to appear Wednesday evening at Jazz at Jacks in the Denver Pavilions.
