Pindell Report: Colorado to lead national Democratic wave

Every competitive federal race in Colorado will go Democratic in keeping with a national trend that will net Democrats at least seven U.S. Senate seats and 16 House seats nationwide, according to James Pindell, the editor of Politicker.com's Pindell Report, which provides independent analysis of federal and state races.

Falling victim to the year will be U.S. Rep. Marilyn Musgrave in the 4th Congressional District. In addition, Pindell expects Barack Obama to win Colorado's 9 electoral votes on the way to winning the presidency and Democratic U.S. Rep. Mark Udall to defeat Republican Bob Schaffer for U.S. Senate.

Thank you. My name is Bill Ritter, and I’m the Governor of the great state of Colorado.

I am so proud of Colorado. We have hosted a great Convention, don’t you think? It has been an honor to host this 2008 Democratic National Convention.

This evening, as we mark the Convention’s end, we re-affirm our Western spirit as the American spirit. And this year, the road to the White House cuts straight through the heart of the American West.
