Dave Crater: Powerful or Pitiful?
By Wally EdgeFour days ago pseudo intellectual Dave Crater, executive director of the Wilberforce Center, a semi-extinct conservative link-tank*, handicapped the presidential race for us.
He expostulated in a blog entry on John Andrews’ site that Romney will run strong in Michigan, with Huckabee a close second and that Huckabee “has South Carolina in the bag.”
However, Real Clear Politics latest polls shows McCain, Romney and Huckabee about dead even in Michigan. Importantly the Michigan poll results were taken prior to the McCain victory in New Hampshire. In South Carolina, Fox News is reporting McCain with a small lead in recent polls there. Rasmussen concurs, showing McCain up 3% over Huckabee in South Carolina in polling completed 1/09.
We wonder why the Wilberforce Center for Colorado Statesmanship never really took off even with the pretentious name?
Our verdict? Pitiful
* A link-tank is a web site contrived to be a think-tank but really has no ideas of its own; it just takes ideas from other places.
