Feminist Majority Founder To Speak At Fitz-Gerald Luncheon Wednesday

Longtime women's rights leader Eleanor Smeal will headline a parade of prominent female politicians in Boulder on Wednesday during a luncheon on behalf of CD-6 Democratic candidate Joan Fitz-Gerald.

The luncheon will be held from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Millennium Harvest House Hotel in Boulder, a press release stated.

Smeal, the founder/president of the Feminist Majority Foundation and ex-president of the National Organization for Women, has rallied for decades against what she calls a "gender gap" in American politics.

She will be joined by state House Majority Leader Alice Madden (D-Boulder), state Rep. Claire Levy (D-Boulder), Boulder City Council member Suzy Ageton, former state Sen. Dorothy Rupert (D-Boulder), and former state Supreme Court justice Jean Dubofsky, among others, the release stated.
