New DNC anti-McCain TV ad to appear on cable

A new Democratic National Committee ad that criticizes John McCain on Iraq will begin airing on cable TV in Colorado, the Colorado Democratic Party announced Tuesday.

The ad, entitled "100," will also be shown at Democratic organizational events around the state, a press release stated.

The ad begins by saying President Bush has talked about staying in Iraq for 50 years. It then has McCain add, “Maybe 100. That’d be fine with me.”

It ends with an announcer asking, "“If all he offers is more of the same, is John McCain the right choice for America’s future?”

The DNC said the ad will air nationwide. However, the  Republican National Committee claims the ad distorts McCain's words and has written NBC, CNN, and MSNBC to insist they not air the ad.
