Ken Salazar pledges 'full support' to Obama

Hillary Clinton might not be ready to concede the Democratic presidential race yet, but U.S. Sen. Ken Salazar (D-Denver) apparently thinks it's over.

Salazar said Wednesday in a statement that while Clinton "has run an extraordinary campaign," he is "very much looking forward to helping Senator (Barack) Obama become the next President of the United States."

Salazar has been working with U.S. Sen. Tom Harkin (D-Iowa) to get their fellow Democratic senators to choose either Clinton or Obama, according to the Denver Post.

"I believe our nation is ready for and in need of change," Salazar said in the statement. "Senator Obama personifies this change and I pledge my full support for his candidacy. I am very much looking forward to helping Senator Obama become the next President of the United States.

"He is a tremendous candidate whose judgment, integrity, leadership, and vision are what our country needs right now," Salazar continued. "He will help bridge our divides and restore our stature and security in the world. My home state of Colorado will be an ideal setting for his nomination and for us to show that we are united in our efforts to strengthen our great country."

OBAMA 08

Obama is the answer to Bushism and the idiocracy of the Administration's disastrous policies of past 8 years that governed America. He will be able to restore the true image, reputation once America enjoyed in the world as a champion of Democracy and Freedom. Obama is truly a visionary leader, a virtuous man who is able to deliver the promise and bring much needed change. We are fighting two wars, have not even captured Osama Bin Laden, economy is in crisis, gas prices are going up on a daily basis and only large oil corporations seem to be doing very well. Americans need a new start and re-think of foreign, domestic, economic and energy policies. Obama represents the change, the new force that will fight for every American and defend the small guy.
