Suthers endorses Armstrong

Sixth Congressional District Republican candidate Wil Armstrong has picked up another A-list GOP endorsement -- this time, from Attorney General John Suthers.

"Now more than ever," Suthers said in a press release, "our party needs a leader with real world experience. Wil Armstrong has first-hand experience dealing with the regulation, the taxes, and the increased healthcare costs associated with building and maintaining a successful business.

"Wil has built many businesses, most right here in the district," Suthers continued. "He understands the hardships facing employers, employees and their families during these times of economic uncertainty."

The Armstrong campaign has also put up an online video in which Suthers praises Armstrong as "the kind of person that I believe ought to be in politics."

"My test is always: does someone want to be in politics because they want to be somebody or because they want to do something?" Suthers said in the video. "Wil Armstrong wants to be in politics because he wants to do something. He is already somebody."

Suthers is the latest in a string of prominent GOPers to endorse Armstrong: former Gov. Bill Owens, U.S. Sen. Wayne Allard (R-Loveland), and U.S. Rep. Marilyn Musgrave (R-Fort Morgan), among others, have announced their support for the Greenwood Village businessman in recent weeks.

Armstrong is the son of former Republican U.S. Sen. Bill Armstrong.

It is interesting that

It is interesting that Suthers' assistant AG is Coffman's wife. Hmmmm .....

500k? Really?

If they had that money wouldn't they be all over tv 6 months ago and not stop til election day? I doubt this Suthers endorsement is rigged by daddy Bill; Coffman's wife works with Suthers so it's not quite to his advantage to piss her off. I feel this is very genuine.

Fist Bump to Daddy!

When is Wil going to cut the chord?

You're right

Everyone knows Coffman is going to win this race. The only reason Wil has received these endorsements is because of his dad. Self-interested politicians are aligning themselves with Will because Bill funded their campaigns or will in the future

Big

Rumors out there indicate Armstrong has put close to $500,000 of his own money into the race. Wow, first he used his old man to get endorsements, now he’s reaching into the trust fund to try to buy an election. Do you think he carries the silver spoon with him at all times….or does he have it stored away for safe keeping?

What you fail to mention is....

He wouldn't have got these endorsements if it weren't for his father.
