Second Congressional District candidates Joan Fitz-Gerald and Jared Polis are joining Will Shafroth on the air, as both campaigns announced the release of TV advertisements Wednesday.
Fitz-Gerald's ad - her first of the campaign - shows a variety of CD-2 residents talking about why they're voting for Fitz-Gerald.
The ad, called "We're With Joan," will run on a week-to-week basis on broadcast TV, said Fitz-Gerald manager Mary Alice Mandarich.
Mandarich said this week's ad buy cost about $190,000. Broadcast television records about Fitz-Gerald's ad buy were not available Wednesday.
Polis, in his latest ad, advocates turning to renewable energy and energy conservation as ways to curb rising prices for gasoline and other commodities.
The ad, entitled "Prices," began airing this week on Denver-area broadcast and cable TV stations.
Television records show the Polis' campaign's current broadcast ad buy runs through July 20 at a cost of $258,750. The campaign also has a cable TV ad buy running through July 13 at a cost of $50,421, cable records show.
Shafroth's first TV ad began running on cable on Monday.

We need to take on the special interest and the oil companies that are benefiting from this, invest in renewable energies, build our capacity for solar and wind energy and also reduce demand and have incentives for us to use low-energy light bulbs in our homes, low-energy heating and air-conditioning systems.
We can make those simple changes, that will pull down those prices and we'll be paying a lot less for gas at the pump, a lot less for energy needs.
I'm Jared Polis, and I approve this message.
