Salazar: Obama VP pick a 'uniquely personal decision'

With reports that Barack Obama will pick a running mate by the end of the week, U.S. Sen Ken Salazar (D-Denver) was asked on Monday on the type of VP he'd like to see Obama pick.

"I think Barack Obama has to pick someone who he needs to be able fill the shoes of the president of the United States," Salazar said at a press conference at the Governor's Mansion. "I think that's a uniquely personal decision for him to make."

Salazar's name was bandied about last year as a potential vice-presidential pick, though now he's not considered a contender for the position.

Wow, what an empty comment. Why was this even worth quoting?
