Jon Stewart weighs in on SD-26 race

State Senate District 26 Democratic nominee Linda Newell picked up an endorsement Tuesday night from the biggest name in fake television news.

Sitting in the balcony just prior to the taping of Comedy Central's "The Daily Show" at the University of Denver, Newell shouted at host Jon Stewart to ask for his endorsement, according to the Colorado Independent.

"Is that Jesus?" Stewart asked before granting her request.

Stewart then asked what state she was from.

 "Colorado? Can't hurt me." Stewart said.
