U.S. Rep. John Salazar (D-Manassa) is ready to take the stage at Invesco Field on Thursday afternoon as one of several Colorado speakers appearing before U.S. Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) accepts his party's presidential nomination in front of thousands of Democratic National Convention delegates.
Asked by PolitickerCO.com for a preview of his speech, Salazar said the topic would be rural America.
"We're going to be talking about how Obama will be someone that will be good -- not only for the values that rural America represents but also the production of food and fiber and the agricultural interests in rural America, while Senator (John) McCain voted over and over and over again against the Farm Bill," Salazar said.

Of course Salazar loves the farm bill.... he and his brother received a $400,000 payment from the bill to subsidize their "ranch" in south western Colorado.
Shame on McCain for not voting for that one?
