Because of “overwhelming demand,” a pancake breakfast with Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin on Monday morning has been moved and turned into a rally, John McCain’s presidential campaign said Friday.

The Alaska governor will now hold a rally at Westernaires Arena at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds at 9 a.m. Doors will open at 7 a.m.The event is free and open to the public, McCain’s campaign said.Palin had been scheduled to host a pancake breakfast at the fairgrounds, but tickets for the breakfast were all taken within hours of them being made available Friday, said McCain spokesperson Tom Kise in a press release. "Our phones have been ringing off the hook and the line has been out the door and into the street,” Kise said in the release.
