Gov. Bill Ritter, speaking Sunday on CBS' "Face The Nation," said "the gloss has come off" Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin and defended Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama's economic policies.
Asked about Palin's influence on the race, Ritter said, "I think early on there was an impact, actually, and that kind of leveled the playing field for a little while. And this distancing we've seen between Obama and McCain and Obama going ahead, I think, is some sign that the sheen has come off a little bit, the gloss has come off of Sarah Palin and people are really paying attention to the economy."
Ritter said recent polls have shown Obama with about a 4-point lead in Colorado.
"That's a nice trend for him in the last few weeks," Ritter said.
Ritter also said he disagreed with a suggestion by Colorado Republican Party Chair Dick Wadhams in Saturday's New York Times that Republican presidential nominee John McCain should highlight Obama's ties to controversial figures Rev. Jeremiah Wright and Bill Ayers.
"That would be, I think, typical of Dick Wadhams to think that kind of negative campaigning would sit well," Ritter said. "The fact of the matter (is that) in Colorado, this is going to be decided by independent voters, and Independent voters care about the economy.
McCain, Ritter said, has "behave(d) erratically where the economy was concerned and where his response was concerned.
"Obama, on the other hand, has shown just a steady consistent way of responding," Ritter continued. "He's thoughtful, he's specific and I think that's really not just in Colorado but around the country where you see these swing states turning for Obama is because of the great contrast and their different styles of leaderships as they campaign about the economy."
Ritter also touted Obama's economic plan, especially in regard to small businesses.
"Senator Obama has a plan around small businesses, and it's really about how you ensure that they continue to be an economic driver, how you look at tax policy to give tax breaks, but also how you energize the Small Business Administration to go back to doing things we did right after 9/11 to places that 9/11 impacted and say nationwide," Ritter said. "We're going to utilize that same means for really rescuing small businesses."

Sarah Palin Baby Video
Speaking of Palin, I've just posted a recently discovered Sarah Palin baby video, for anyone who might be interested. It's quite telling.

WILLIAM AYERS IS NOT CAPITOL BOMBER
PUTTING ON AYERS
YIPPIE STEW ALBERT BOMBED THE CAPITOL NOT WILLIAM AYERS
OBAMA IS UNFAIRLY LINKED TO “THE CAPITOL BOMBER”
WASHINGTON - The Republican National Committee launched a new ad: "Chicago Way." The ad calls attention to Barack Obama's questionable ties to unrepentant “terrorist” William Ayers. The Ad states Obama was associated with, “William Ayers: Leader of a terrorist group that bombed the U.S. Capitol. Obama's first campaign was launched at a gathering at Mr. Ayers's home.” This assertion is based on Ayers having taken credit for this event in his book Fugitive Days: “Using dynamite – that most romantic of 19th Century radical tools – in government buildings, most dramatically, the Capitol in Washington, in response to the widening war, an action code named “The Big Top.” (Page 246) “We already bombed the Capitol and cased the White House” (Page 258) “Dynamite became ice cream or pickles. Much easier to say I am taking three pounds of ice cream to the big top than I am putting a three pound bomb in the Capitol. (Page 223)” (ref: http://www.amazon.com/gp/reader/0142002550/ref=sib_dp_srch_pop?v=search-...)
The New York Times reported, “In 1975 Mr. Jeff Jones [former Weather Underground member) appeared in an underground movie with the four other leaders, with their faces turned from the camera to avoid identification. Mr. Jones recounted the experiences of ''the group'' in the bombing of the United States Capitol on March 1, 1971. He said the bomb, placed in a storage room behind the Senate barbershop, had failed to go off the first time, so that the participants had to return the next day to re-trigger it. A caller alerted the Capitol police a half-hour before the blast, so that there were no injuries; damage was estimated at $100,000.” (ref: http://select.nytimes.com/search/restricted/article?res=F4091EFA3B5D0C76...)
The bomb was placed in an unmarked Men’s Room, not in a storage room behind the Senate barber shop. (ref: http://yippiemuseum.org/mensroom.pdf) As someone who was a leader of the Youth International Party at the time I was privy to who planted this bomb. In May 1971 Jerry Rubin and Stew Albert came to visit me. Rubin introduced Albert as someone who had just “bombed the Capitol” to protest the invasion of Laos and the war in Vietnam. The FBI believed that Stew Albert was responsible, not Bill Ayers and the Weather Underground. (ref: New York Times archive article displayed at http://yippiemuseum.org/stew.pdf) The FBI also believed Leslie Bacon and Judith Clavir were involved in the event. The Bureau presented evidence and a Grand Jury indicted Leslie Bacon (ref: http://yippiemuseum.org/indict.pdf) and Leslie Bacon was arrested for THE CAPITOL BOMBING. (ref: http://yippiemuseum.org/arrest.pdf) The FBI overheard Stew remark that the bomb contained twenty sticks of dynamite that were allegedly supplied to him by Leslie Bacon who picked up the explosives in Boston. The trio was present in Washington that day and when asked about the bombing Leslie took the Fifth. (ref: http://yippiemuseum.org/20sticks.pdf) The FBI had the trio discussing the bombing on ELSUR devices that had been illegally planted in a Washington D.C. apartment so the case was eventually dropped rather than answer a motion for disclosure. (ref: http://yippiemuseum.org/elsur.pdf)
What Ayers involvement in Weather Underground activities was is a matter of conjecture, but one thing is for certain BARAK OBAMA WAS NOT ASSOCIATED WITH THE CAPITOL BOMBER UNLESS HE KNEW STEW ALBERT! Why believe Ayers? If you believe him about the Capitol Bombing you might as well believe him about American becoming a socialist state!
