McCain squeaks out Garfield County win

After days of anticipation, John McCain is the winner of the 2008 presidential election -- in Garfield County.

With 243 provisional ballots counted, the Republican U.S. senator from Arizona beat Democrat (and President-elect) Barack Obama by two votes in the Western Slope county, 11,359-11,357, according to the Grand Junction Sentinel.

Before the provisional ballots were counted, McCain and Obama had been exactly tied with 11,223 votes apiece in the county.
