Perlmutter Heads To South America

U.S. Rep. Ed Perlmutter (D-Colo.) became the second Colorado congressman to leave the country this week when he left with U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice for Colombia this morning, the Denver Post reports.

Perlmutter is one of a group of lawmakers scheduled to meet with Colombian leaders about a U.S.-Colombia free trade agreement.

U.S. Rep. Mark Udall (D-Colo.) returned to the U.S. on Tuesday after spending 36 hours in Afghanistan.
