Poll finds Romney leading GOP field, Democrats Clinton and Obama in close fight

A Mason Dixon/Denver Post poll of likely Colorado caucus voters finds Mitt Romney leading the GOP field by a wide margin and Democrats Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton in a close fight.

On the Republican side, Romney picks up 43%, with John McCain at 24%, Mike Huckabee at 17%, Ron Paul at 5%, and Rudy Giuliani at 4%.

On the Democratic side, Obama picks up 34% and Clinton receives 32%. John Edwards trails with 17%.

The poll of 800 voters was conducted January 21-23. It has a margin of error of 3.5%.
