At last, the McCain campaign has a direction

Over the last couple of days, Sen. John McCain’s rhetoric toward Russia has mostly been Georgia-supported, Wikipedia-lifted leadership posturing, including accusing Russia of wanting to restore its old empire.

But he stopped short of declaring war himself, saying there won’t be a new Cold War. To justify his new position, he made an akward statement to reporters in a press conference, saying, "In the 21st century, nations don’t invade other nations."

So in South Ossetia, are the Georgian's welcomed as liberators?

This is not an American

This is not an American issue at all! The Georgians bluffed and the Russians called, it is as simple as that... Ok, the Russians have been using extreme force but this is what Russia does. They are still embarassed over the collapse of Communism and are trying to reassert themselves as a world power. My question is why aren't more people critizing the Georgian handling of this situation? Why haven't there been calls for Georgian president Saakashvili to resign over this mismanagement? If we reverse the roles and say Mexico did something that drove the U.S. to combat would we be heeding the advice from the Russians? Or the world for that matter? Absolutely not!! This is not an American issue and both canidates speaking about it makes me sick... We ask foreigners to stay out of our politics and we should do the same. Russia is loving the response the world has given them! They want to play the role of the bad guy! GO BAD GUY (aka, RUSSIA)
