Republican presidential hopeful Mitt Romney touted his economic credentials at a Denver rally Friday afternoon, saying opponent John McCain wouldn't be the right choice for the country, according to newspaper reports.
"I think at this time, we need a president for whom the economy is a strong suit," said the former Massachusetts governor and successful businessman, according to the Post.
Romney spoke before a crowd of about 1,000 at the Fairway Ford car dealership in Denver.
Romney was introduced by former U.S. Rep. Bob Beauprez (R-Colo.), the Rocky Mountain News reported.
