On Thursday, Colorado Republican and Democratic caucuses from both state legislative chambers chose their leadership positions for next year. Here's a list of who they chose:

DENVER-- House Majority Whip Andy Kerr (D-Lakewood) defeated State Rep. Nancy Todd (D-Aurora) to become assistant House majority leader early Thursday afternoon.

Kerr succeeds Assistant Majority Leader Terrance Carroll (D-Denver), who earlier on Thursday was elected Speaker of the House by the House Democratic Caucus.

Speaker of the House and House majority leader positions are up for grabs at Tuesday's Democratic state House caucus, and several candidates are jockeying for position.
