Freedom’s Watch, the conservative advocacy organization, is opening its television advertising campaign in Senate races today with a new spot targeting Democratic U.S. Rep. Mark Udall (D-Boulder).
“Energy reform. Mark Udall promised to fight to for it. So what did he do when the vote came up? He skipped it,” an announcer says in the 30-second spot. “Instead of supporting oil exploration, nuclear energy, new refineries, anything that might reduce gas prices, Udall skipped it, went to a fundraiser, and sent congress on vacation by one vote.”
Tim Pearson, a spokesman for the organization, said the ad was airing in the Denver, Colorado Springs, and Grand Junction media markets. Pearson declined to specify how much the organization was spending on the ad.
