With talk of pro-choice GOP veep, Burton takes wait-and-see approach

Republican National Convention delegate and pro-life activist Kristy Burton is a John McCain supporter.

But with talk of McCain gauging reaction to a potential pro-choice running mate, Burton told PolitickerCO.com that she wouldn't support McCain's vice-presidential pick until he or she is pro-life.

"I certainly hope he does not pick a pro-choice running mate," said Burton, the leading proponent of Amendment 48, which would amend the state constitution to define a fertilized human egg as a person.

"To be honest, I haven't followed the presidential race to a huge degree just because of my own (Personhood Amendment) campaign that I'm involved in," she said. "So I'll probably just wait to see who he picks and then I'll decide what I'll do."

America led by a President who doesn't believe in Jesus, as has happened in the past, is one thing. America led by someone who believes Jesus is Satan's brother is a different matter."

If it’s Obama, it’ll be Romney for VP

While still considered safe for the Democrats by Rassmussen, Obama only holds a 7 percentage point lead over McCain in Massachusetts. The last Democrat to win Massachusetts’ 12 electoral votes by approximately 7 percentage points? You guessed it: Mike Dukakis.
