Poll: McCain, Obama in 'dead heat' in Colo.

A new Quinnipiac University poll surveying likely Colorado voters released Sunday shows presumptive Republican nominee John McCain in "a dead heat" with his Democratic rival, Barack Obama as Democrats are gathering in Denver for their party's national convention.

According to a survey, McCain is leading 47 percent to 46 percent. A similar poll released July 24 showed McCain leading Obama 46 percent to 44 percent. A June 26 survey showed Obama with a 49 percent to 44 percent lead.

Coalition says labor ties could spell trouble for Udall

A poll by the Coalition for a Democratic Workplace asked 400 Colorado general election voters whether Udall’s support of “legislation to take away a worker's right to have a federally supervised secret and private ballot election” would make them more or less likely to vote for him. 44% of respondents replied that they’d be less likely to vote for Udall under those circumstances while 13% said they’d be more likely to vote for him.
