The last time we saw GodVoter.org, the self-styled Christian seal of approval for presidential candidates, was back in December when they were being chastised by US Rep Tom Tancredo for displaying "religious bigotry" in their opposition to Mitt Romney because of his Mormon beliefs.
So we weren't real surprised this A.M. when an email appeared in our inbox from GodVoter warning John McCain about a McCain-Romney ticket.
The Christian organization attacks Romney in the email for his changeable views on abortion and homosexuality and claims he carries no real electoral strength for the ticket.
But perhaps their strongest objection is saved for last.
"Christian voters will not accept a potential Mormon White House," says GodVoter "especially given the possibility of age keeping you from seeking a second term. America led by a President who doesn't believe in Jesus, as has happened in the past, is one thing. America led by someone who believes Jesus is Satan's brother is a different matter."
Romney is a favorite of the Colorado GOP, easily winning the caucus-night presidential straw poll conducted in February.
