Regular readers of the Inside Edge realize that we mention CO-2 candidate Jared Polis occasionally. Usually it's in reference to something embarrassing he's done, his campaign's done or about to do.
But we want to make this clear: it's not that we have anything against the guy. In fact, we kind of like him because he provides us with such great copy.
That's why we just can't resist the pull of doing a Powerful or Pitiful column on Jared's recent visit to his local progressive radio station to demand air time from a station that was already willing to give him airtime.
Apparently Polis thinks the best way to get more earned media is by being a jerk, a lesson no doubt he learned from Ron Paul supporters.
Polis, like Paul, is more money than he is mighty.
We applaud KKZN-AM's Jay Marvin, who related the story on the air, for sticking to his guns and for being willing to call Polis out for his boorish behavior.
OUR VERDICT: Pitiful
Though Democrats are looking forward to taking over a Republican-held statewide post, Gov. Bill Ritter (D) may find himself in an awkward position ... >
Janet Napolitano, the Democratic governor of Arizona and an early supporter of Barack Obama's presidential campaign, is being mentioned for ... >
I applaud Jay Marvin for
I applaud Jay Marvin for being incredibly biased, reading a script handed to him by the Fitz-Gerald camp, and not addressing any of the issues. I applaud Jay Marvin for treating his radio show as if it were a castle under siege - what is he afraid of?
I also applaud Marvin for being Joan's lap dog - the "questions" he had for Joan were laughable at best.
farce
when is jared going to put an end to it? has anyone seen poll numbers?
