Armstrong launches commercials

CO-6 candidate Wil Armstrong launched two new commercials today.

In an email sent out to supporters on Sunday night the Armstrong campaign announced they were putting up "Career Businessman" and "Let's Change the Way Congress Does Business."

Both commercials are 30 second spots and are up on Youtube.

Both rely heavily on dissatisfaction amongst voters with Congress in selling Armstrong to voters. Whether that translates into Republican votes in CO-6 remains to be seen.

In our opinion they'll be ineffective.

Generally speaking, CO-6 voters, especially Republicans, have felt they've gotten pretty good representation from outgoing US Rep. Tom Tancredo.

And while other politicians have fallen into disrepute, Coffman seems pretty popular to us.

So unless Wil is going to ratchet up the personal attacks on Coffman, we think his campaign strategy will fall flat.

That is, if this is all he's got.

Coffman will hose Colorado

Since it seems Coffman is not interested in finishing the mission in the Secretary of State office, he seems to be destined to throw the Colorado voters under the bus along with his other friends and associates.

Any Republican can win in CD-6 but only two were elected statewide in the last 4 years. Just because Mike hates his job does not mean he should take his ball and go to Washington. Perhaps he should suck it up like a good Marine and keep fighting for the people of Colorado.

God knows he will not be able to do a thing in Congress with such a huge Democrat majority. Perhaps he is simply looking for a pay raise and a nice place to retire.

What

How do you suppose that “big momentum” has shifted to the Armstrong side? Didn’t Coffman just announce raising over $300,000 last quarter? How much did Armstrong raise? (And no, loans from the candidate do not count in money raised). This just seems to be wishful thinking coming from a desperate campaign trailing by 30 points with 35 days to go.

Armstrong change equals Obama change

He is an empty suit. He talks about all these things, but how exactly is he going to do it? The guy has no political experience. I will say these ads are better than his first. However, they are still vague and he is appealing based on the Republican platform rather than any ideas of his own.

The Need For Change

The Armstrong commericals are clear and to the point and addresses the average voter concerns they have to challenge with in their daily lives. We need more businessmen, doctors, teachers, women representing us in Congress to fix the way Congress does business. It appears that the big momentum has moved over to the Armstrong side.

My Money is on Coffman

After this race Wil will be back in the mortgage business helping Colorado increase its already record high # of foreclosures.

Seems like

by mentioning the other 3 candidates he made a huge mistake. This just confirms that there is another choice or choices. Unfortunately, for Wil this makes me want to learn more about the other candidates than him. I think the voters in the race will feel the same way.

Lil Wil will be crying to Daddy Bill

My guess is after Armstrong loses the primary, he will blame everyone but himself.

I agree with u Wally

These commercials will be ineffective. I think Armstrong waited to long to go on television and will be drowned out by the Polis, Udall and other campaigns. Coffman is very popular and I just can’t see him losing to Wil. It like comparing apples and oranges.
