Schaffer adds press secretary

Former U.S. Rep. Bob Schaffer: Campaign photoFormer U.S. Rep. Bob Schaffer: Campaign photoThe GOP has been aggressively adding staff and organizing in Colorado over the last month with the state party and the McCain folks ramping up staffing levels.

And today the Schaffer campaign announced that it hired a new press secretary, Kelly Brady.

Brady, a former school teacher, previously worked with Schaffer as his legislative correspondent when he was a U.S. representative. She then served as a deputy press secretary to U.S. Sen. Wayne Allard.

In 2000, she graduated from the then-named Republican Leadership Program, which has morphed into the Leadership Program of the Rockies.

"Kelly is an excellent addition to our hard working staff," said Schaffer in the first release issued by Brady. "She brings a wealth of knowledge and insight into the issues affecting Colorado voters."

We assume that Brady wrote the Schaffer quote herself.

And that's all she could come up with about yourself?

Kelly...you have a pen...use it.

I think there is an error in this release. It should just say Secretary. "Dick, pick up line 3."
