The Rocky Mountain News summarizes yesterday's 6th Congressional District Republican primary debate by noting that "Three of the four GOP hopefuls...lambasted the Republican Party and President George W. Bush."
In particular, State Sen. Ted Harvey (R-Highlands Ranch) criticized President Bush for his support of an immigration bill, which U.S. Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) and the Democratic leadership also supported.
Presumably their public statements reflect a similar general dissatisfaction among the Republican primary electorate in the district. Considering Colorado's status as a swing state in this year's presidential election, an ambivalent or discouraged base is the last thing McCain needs.
Though Democrats are looking forward to taking over a Republican-held statewide post, Gov. Bill Ritter (D) may find himself in an awkward position ... >

Boring and wrong
Phew, this effort stinks, Wally.
Firstly, your presumption that Senator Harvey speaks for the 6th is ridiculous. Even if you had an infinite number of Jon Hotalings work with and infinite number of Curt Cervanys smearing Harvey's opponents, Harvey still wouldn't break 20 percent in the vote. As it is you only have two Hotalings and one Cervany. I'll even spot you two Laura Teals, and you'd still be wrong.
Also, McCain just raised $3.2 million in the 6th in one night. Hardly a ambivalent haul.
If this is the best inside insight you can give us, better find a new line. This effort blows.
