An anonymous writer quotes anonymous sources to trash a real person. How fantastically suckish of you. - posted by One Big Fat Guess
Dear One Big Fat Guest-
Hmm. An anonymous poster uses a non-word to trash an anonymous writer. To beg your pardon, but “suckish” isn’t an actual word. Did you mean “mean-spirited” or something akin to that? Because, no; the various writers at the Inside Edge aren’t mean-spirited. We just write what we hear.
Actually anonymous writing has a storied history in our Republic. Benjamin Franklin, Samuel Adams and Abe Lincoln all wrote anonymously, not sparing politicians. The difference is that we get paid for it at the Inside Edge.
But the bigger point is that if you are attacking the Inside Edge for writing anonymously, in reality, aren’t you attacking some of the giants of American history; and if you are attacking the giants of American history, aren’t you really attacking the United States of America?
Well, in the immortal word of Otter from the movie Animal House: “We're not going to sit here and listen to you badmouth the United States of America. Gentlemen!”

I agree with [One Big Fat Guess]. I am proudly supporting Coffman because not only is he a conservative but he also has a rough-and-tumble speaking voice, chiseled pectorals, and isn't at all a homosexual.- posted by Go Mike!
Dear Go Mike-
I’m sure Mr. Coffman will be gratified by your support. We here at the Inside Edge are also gratified that you’ve disproved our theory that there are just some people who must stoop to outrageous personal attacks no matter the cost to themselves and others.
A little research on Jon Hotaling might be in order. According to the voter file, he is registered to vote in both El Paso and Douglas counties. - Ed
Dear Mr. Ed-
Yes, you are correct. However Mr. Hotaling has not voted in Douglas County for some time. His registration is inactive there and has not tried to vote in both places, as far as we know. And the county clerks would have record of it if he did.
Mr. Hotaling ascribed the duplicate registration to the transposition of an 8 and 5 in his birthday by the county clerk. We are inclined to agree with him.
The bigger issue here, for someone smarter than the average horse, is why people are so inclined to attack Jon Hotaling? Maybe that’s a good question for Go Mike!
See you all next week. Have a great weekend!
