In this week's edition of Winners & Losers, a bunch of congressional candidates have a good week, while we get a view Mr. TABOR that we would have rather not had. Also some losers come out of the GOP assembly and the 2nd District Court. So check in with Wally Edge for this week's Winners & Losers and get your Friday off to the best start possible.

Winners

Losers

Betsey Markey

Cook Political Report revises the race in the 4th CD to “toss up.” That’s a bad sign because we don’t think Markey’s really begun to campaign yet.

Doug Bruce

Doug Bruce in his underwear is not something we wanted to start the week with. Next time Doug, use the bathroom to change, not the parking lot. It’s a hotel. They have lots of rooms.

Bentley Rayburn

Rayburn earns a key endorsement from Lionel Rivera, mayor of Colorado Springs.

Ron Paul

Ron supporters make a ruckus at the Republican state convention but prove to be more thunder than lighting.

Mike Coffman

Coffman’s own poll numbers still look good with about 4 weeks left before voting starts for the primary. If Armstrong doesn’t starting spending a lot of money now, it’ll be hard to win.

Dave Schultheis

State Sen. Dave Schultheis comes in a distant third to unknown activist Leondray Gholston in voting for Colorado’s RNC spot.

Bill Ritter

2nd District Judge rules against Ritter. Says his property tax freeze is unconstitutional, however “well-intentioned and commendable the purpose.”
